How to submit photos for inclusion on the ICRS Fotopic site
Photos should be sent via e-mail to the Website Manager. Please ensure that no more than 5 photos are sent at a time. Ideally the size of each should be under 200Kb. If you are intending to send more than this or larger files please contact the Website Manager first.
What are acceptable photos? We will consider all photos of any railway subject within the UK, Europe or beyond. The photos must be your own work and we will not accept photos where you do not hold the copyright. We will not normally accept photos that have been manipulated or altered and you should advise us when submitting your photos for consideration if any alterations have been made to the original image. Some photos may be used for our ICRS Magazine. If you don't want your photos used for the magazine or another ICRS publication please state this when sending us your images
Do I have to be a member of the ICRS? No. We will accept contributions from both members and non-members alike.

A wintry scene at Inverness with views around Millburn Yard and Needlefield Depot as well as the station. Included in this collection are photos of the ill-fated 66048 at Inverness before it came to grief in a derailment at Carrbridge later that day.

 | 7th Dec 2009 | Return of the Pretendolino
Updated: Photos from a second run on the Pretendolino set on 9th January 2010.
Virgin's Pendolino-liveried Mk.3 loco hauled set and DVT 82126 returned to regular service on the WCML on Monday 7th December. During the first week of operation the booked locomotive was DB Schenker's 90020 Collingwood, still in full EWS livery and branding.
The loco hauled set is being used on a London Euston - Birmingham New Street diagram to cover for Pendolino maintenance and will probably run until at least early January 2010.
The photos in this gallery show the set on its first day on the Birmingham services on 7th December.

to 30th Nov 2009 | Preparation for SWT Desiro Overhauls at Eastleigh
This gallery shows preparations for Siemens to begin overhauls of Class 444 and 450 units for SWT at Eastleigh Works.
The overhauls are due to start in Feb 2010 with the area that will be used having been cleared and refurbished with new jacking points installed and new jacks delivered. On 26th November, 444019 was in for commissioning and testing of some of the equipment. Another 444 was due to arrive on 30th November to replace 444019 and stay until mid December to thoroughly test all the new equipment and processes ready for overhauls to start in February 2010.

The annual Diesel Gala at the Severn Valley Railway saw an intensive service operating, with some notable appearances. D8059 was making its first run in preservation along with 37264. Also present were three Class 50s including 50135 Ark Royal in Load Haul livery.
This gallery represents a selection of the action over the two main days of 8th and 9th October.
